Zapytałem J.Kylma, czy szkoła Jerome, działa w porozumieniu z EBA. Otrzymałem odpowiedź:
Piotr,
I just wrote to David too about the bowhunter education.
EBA is using the International Bowhunter Education Program IBEP. I checked the web page of the German/Polish man and there was nothing about bowhunting, so I'm afraid that he would sell you a seminar that has nothing to do with real bowhunting and official bowhunter education.
Be sure to use the official IBEP program. IBEP is the only real international education. This is mandatory in some countries and voluntary in many others. Some countries may have their own bowhunter education, but they normally accept the IBEP if a foreigner wants to hunt there.
Only sertified IBEP instructors can use this program. I am a Master Instructor (since 1992), so I have the right to educate new Instructors as well. The students will get a Certified Bowhunter card after completing the 2 day class and a written test. The test is not too demanding. So if one attends the class and listens and has checked the IBEP manual before the class, there shouldn't be any problems.
You can check www.nbef.org to learn more about the program.
About the costs. As I wrote earlier I might be able to get the flights covered by CIC Wroking Group Bowhunting - at least up to 300-400 euros - *for the first seminar*. Then some one should transport me form and to airport, and you would need to organize my accommodation and food. The IBEP Instructors do not get any salary for this work. The IBEP manuals, cards and IBEP patches are cheap -a about 10 euro per student. Those you can order from EBA / Anders Gejer after we have agreed about the IBEP class.
So, yes we can help you. If I can choose I'd like to come in the summer.
I already have minimum one trip (abroad) per month till May. But after that I have more relaxed time.
Juha pisze też o kosztach takiego seminarium w Polsce. Jeśli coś przekręciłem, to mnie poprawcie.
No i sprawa materiałów edukacyjnych. W ramach kursu, EBA dostarcza materiały edukacyjne IBEP.
